Kingdom Africa's Aims and Objectives

Aims and Objectives
The aims of the Association is to create awareness, promote, breaking down of barriers and create opportunities for our target communities to access a better way of life.
The aims and objectives of the Association shall be targeted towards the wider community of Fife and beyond but with specific focus on African and Black British Communities.

The objectives of the Association shall be to: -

Education

· To work in partnership with Fife Council Education Services, FRAE Fife and all other educational institutions to promote and create awareness of our target community (African and Black British) culture in educational institutions.

· To work in partnership with other organisations and local authorities to change attitudes and influencing policies around Education.


ART

· To create awareness, promote and present our target community culture through Arts, Drama, Dance and Music.
· To work in partnership with other organisations and local authorities to change attitudes and influencing policies around Art, Music, Drama and Dance.


Citizenship

· Develop, promote, encourage, organise & facilitate the involvement, participation and training of our target communities, in accordance with the constitution.
· To form a forum for exchange of information and ideas of different Africans and Black British culture.
· To encourage and offer participation pathway for our target communities to take active participation in local community issues (i.e. CPP).
· Identify, establish dialogue and a working alliance with Black Minority Ethnic (BME) individuals living or working in Fife.
· Ensure that BME individuals receive up to date information about events, activities, news items, etc which are of interest to them and in line with their culture, religion, aspirations and lifestyle.


Employment
· To increase opportunities for Africans and Black British individuals to participate in activities that creates access to employment.
· To work in partnership with other organisations and local authorities to change attitudes, remove barriers and influencing policies around access to and in employment.

Health

· To foster a healthier, more active lifestyle among our target group with higher focus on Africans and Black British individuals through healthy eating, medical checks, sports and physical activities for those living in the community.
· To work in partnership with other organisations and local authorities to change attitudes, remove barriers and influencing policies on access to health treatment and healthy living activities.

Community Safety

· Participate, promote, organise and provide information for our target group with higher focus on Africans and Black British on individual, home and family safety issues, concerns and matters.
· Working in Partnership with local partners, businesses, police, crime prevention, drug awareness, and community workers etc to raise awareness about community safety.

Sports and leisure

· To create, promote and foster opportunities for our target communities or individuals and sports clubs to participate, involve, and access sporting facilities.
· To work in partnership in influencing policies around sport and physical activities.

Poverty and deprivation

To raise awareness of poverty and deprivation suffering by our target communities.
To work towards reducing poverty and deprivation suffered among our target communities.
To working in partnership with other organisations and local authorities in addressing the issue of poverty and deprivation in UK and beyond.
